REQUEST A COURT APPOINTED ADVISOR INVESTIGATE

A Court-Appointed Advisor’s role is to investigate the issue as outlined in the court order that appointed them. They can speak to parties, witnesses, members of the household, law enforcement, DCS, teachers, and anyone else relevant to the case. They may also visit your home and/or speak to the children. They can review police reports, evidence in the case, medical records, communication between the parties, department of child safety records, and other records relevant to making the most informed recommendation to the court.
